DO YOU HAVE A RETAIL STORE LOCATION?
While we do not have a retail store, we are happy to work with you online or by phone to ensure a quality design for your upholstery fabric. We are not currently taking any in-person appointments due to COVID-19 concerns.
HOW DO YOU KNOW YOU WILL ALWAYS HAVE THE FABRIC I CHOOSE IN STOCK?
All of our fabrics are custom printed to order on the base fabric you select. It's possible that the base fabric you select might be out of stock, but it normally only takes a week or so to replenish our stock. We store your print design digitally for a period of one year.
HOW DO I PLACE A CUSTOM ORDER?
If you wish to have your own design printed, we will need to discuss your vision. Please email us with a brief description of your project and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
HOW DO I SEND MY OWN IMAGE FOR PRINTING?
The best way to get an image to us is to use either Dropbox, WeTransfer or create a zip file you can attach to an email. The image needs to be high resolution (at least 300 dpi) which means it's probably going to be too large to attach to an email. Please be aware that not every image is suitable for printing.
WHAT IMAGES CAN I USE FOR MY FABRIC PRINT?
a scan of your own personal artwork
your own corporate logo or other corporate images
your own personal photograph (with no copyrighted images shown)
an image that is in the public domain
We cannot reproduce a copyrighted image unless you have procured a license permitting you to print.
HOW DOES YOUR PRICING WORK ON TRUE CUSTOM ORDERS?
Like all fabric sellers, we have a price per yard which covers the fabric and the custom printing.
We also charge a panel development fee of $75 per panel to cover the cost of preparing your image for printing by our graphics department.
The panel development fee is not charged if you select an image from our ever-increasing library located in our SHOP area.
If extensive graphics work is required in order to use your image, a fee of $75 per hour will be charged.

WILL YOU PRINT ANY IMAGE I WANT?
Some images are not suitable for printing on fabric because of size, orientation, poor resolution or other quality issues. We will evaluate your image at the outset to determine if we can print. Other images are not suitable for printing because of the subject matter. We reserve the right to refuse to print any image that is antithetical to our core beliefs and sense of social responsibility. This would include any image that is a negative depiction of any race, gender, religion, ethnicity, country or political leader or affiliation, including racist symbols or signs. We will evaluate questionable images on a case by case basis.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO RECEIVE MY CUSTOM-PRINTED FABRIC?
If you select from the pre-designed images in our SHOP, the delivery time will be approximately 10 days. If you place a true custom order with your own image, the delivery time is about 14 days. Please note that these are estimations and dependent on fabric stock. We will keep you informed of each step in the process.
HOW CAN I MAKE SURE THE COLOR WILL BE RIGHT IN MY PRINT?
Computer monitors are calibrated differently. What you see on your monitor will be a close approximation to the printed fabric. Also, colors will appear differently on different fabrics depending on the weave and fiber content. For example, a plainweave polyester will produce the most vibrant colors, while a textile with natural fiber content will appear more muted. Large amounts of intense black will normally appear to be dark charcoal gray unless there are plenty of contrasting colors. We are happy to provide samples of our base fabrics.
WHAT COLORS ARE YOUR BASE FABRICS?
All of our base fabrics are white or off-white so the printed colors will be true.

Our primary goal at Abbey Custom Fabrics is to meet the design needs of our customers and clients while staying true to our company philosophy of minimizing fabric waste. We are also mindful of our partnership with our featured artists and hope to promote and use their art when appropriate. We prefer to build relationships along with our client base.
